Don’t get me wrong, I love Fall, the crisp air, the pumpkin spiced everything, fires, apples, BUT I am definitely looking for an activity that doesn’t involve an overcrowded pumpkin patch and a warm beer. Here are some ideas to keep you and your family busy this October
Specifically the CHIHULY exhibit is a must see, plus they have a great children’s area, yes there are tons of pumpkins!
MANOR PARK , LARCHMONT
I pinch myself every time I come here, and cannot believe its only 10 min away from my house! My kids love climbing on the rocks and exploring the little beaches.
Complete eye candy and filled with inspiration! Love this shop and could spend hours and cashish here….plus they always have a fun activity or event in store
Great blog post from Elements of Style blog had me dying to hop right into an uber and head straight to the One Hotel in NYC ! It has also inspired me to bring that rustic modern cool feel into my own home! Follow her blog for more design ideas, amazing!

I made a trip to NYC about two weeks ago for meetings and since my favorite hotel, The Mark, was booked solid I decided to try this cool looking spot, 1 Hotel, located smack dab on Central Park near just about everything! And it was AWESOME.
The former CEO of Starwood Hotels started this new brand to focus on sustainability and an eco-friendly mindset in the hospitality world.
The decor was so cool- all natural and nature inspired- think tons of woods, concrete, greenery, steel, leather and wovens.
Even the room keys were cool- these little wood disks instead of plastic cards!

The room was small-ish but so perfectly turned out- with an comfy and adorabel window seat perfect for blogging 🙂 The bathroom was made of steel and glass walls (but with a curtain you could pull for privacy because lets face it, we don;t all want to watch our significant other use the bathroom- ugh).
Wood floors, beams and furniture throughout and amazing marble showers.
They even offered up cozy cable knit socks instead of slippers and had a yoga mat in the room for post- travel stretching. GENIUS.
Cool industrial bathrooms…
And work spaces…

And the restaurant, Jams, was GORGEOUS, packed with cool people and the food was delicious (granted, I got a room service burger but it was AMAZING).
Even the elevators were cool- with bark covered walls!
I loved this spot (and even got taken to Penn Station in a Tesla, the hotel’s courtesy car!) And no, they did not sponsor this at all- I paid for everything so this is an honest-to-blog opinion. 🙂
If you love the look of this hotel, here are some suggestions as to how to bring it into your own space:
