First Impressions

2 Alyssa Lane, Purchase New York

It’s funny how the entryway is the first thing you see and notice in most homes, YET it is a lot of times the last area of the home that gets the attention, TLC and energy. Well at least that was the case for me and once I outfitted our “entry” I felt so much better and didn’t cringe walking through the door everyday, thank you Nina (Nina Draddy Design)

SO for all of you out there that are putting off your front hall , here is some inspo. For all of you that are thinking of selling or renting your home here is some easy, budget friendly inspiration too.

Some tips for those looking to jhuuzz your entryway

  1. Console table or Bench

Loving the curved simple console,  Hi-Gloss wood console, and marble console option (all from CB2)

2. Orchid / seasonal branches

3. Lamps CB2, Aerin

Aerin @ Circa Lighting

4. Accessories (all CB2) Check your house first, you probably have some beautiful bowls or vases that can sit pretty on a console or end table

5. Mirrors/Artwork

Keep it simple, most things are from CB2 or West Elm so you don’t have to break the bank to create a welcoming entry for you and your guests! Enjoy

Questions with May

How did you get into Real Estate?……………….Interiors and Architecture have always interested me, the transition from college to building my first home in Purchase Estates was very organic and fun. I loved building from scratch and flipping homes that needed some TLC. I even lured April into becoming a realtor and then years later joined Houlihan Lawrence. Understanding the building process has allowed me to better educate my clients and their expectations about renovations, budgets, timing and building permits.

Did you know May is Left Handed……

What is your favorite thing about living in Harrison? ……………….My neighborhood in Sunnyridge and the people who live there. I have lived there for 14 years.

Whats the biggest misconception about realtors?………………..That we spend our days looking at beautiful houses and nothing else….

Who’s your favorite sister, April or June ?………hmmmm
